Former IBF lightweight champion of the world, Richard Oblitey Commey may soon find himself in the ring this July against Jose Pedraza in one of Top Rank Boxing events.
The Ghanaian boxer who last fought in December, 2021 against Vasiliy Lomachenko, a bout he lost by a unanimous decision, still has his stocks high in the world of boxing and will have another opportunity to relaunch himself if talks on a proposed fight with the Pueto Rican goes through.
The two former lightweight division champions, Commey and Pedraza are said to be interested in the proposed bout with both looking to put their losses to Lomachenko and Jose Ramirez respectively behind them and stake a claim in the Junior Welterweight Division.
Boxing aficionados believe Richard Oblitey Commey (30-4, 27KOs) and Jose “Sniper” Pedraza Gonzalez ( 29-4, 14KOs) will be one of the most interesting fights of the year if the deal goes through simply because these two boxers are not afraid to slug it out anytime they mount the ring.
