The body of a 17-year-old boy who was struck to death by a lightning incident in Ho has finally been moved away from the scene for burials.

The deceased, Emmanuel Torli, who sold coconut just opposite the office of the Electricity Company of Ghana in the Volta regional capital died on Monday when he and two others were struck.

His body, was, however, abandoned at the scene for over 24-hours as families feared his death was connected to a thunder god known as Xebieso.

City authorities could neither go closer to the body over the same fears.

But late Tuesday evening, the families finally moved in to move the body away for burial only after the necessary rites were performed by a priest.

The mother has been speaking to the mother on what is purported to have led to the death of his son.
