Residents of Tse Addo, near the Police Station are worried and highly concerned about a mast being erected by a telecom company in their locality.
Though the name of the telco is not confirmed yet, residents say per their own investigations and after talking to some of the workers on the site, it was clear and evidenced that MTN was behind the alleged mast.
Some of the residents have indicated they have filed an official complaint with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the local assembly, but little has been done about their complaint.
Meanwhile, households in the area are currently living in fear of the potential health risks they will have to put up with when the mask starts operating.
Beside health hazards, they also complain of the real possibility of the mast falling on houses and people in the event of any heavy rainstorm. This worrying development has created serious discomfort among residents in the area.
While they remain helpless in getting the attention of authorities to address their safety concerns, workers at the site are working day and night to complete the project as soon as possible.
We therefore call on all well meaning Ghanaians to come to our aid before it gets out of hand!!
