The regional executive committee of the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Upper West Region has issued a strong worded statement, telling its supporters to boycott the president’s intended visit to the region on Sunday.
This according to them is as a result of the regional minister’s attitude towards the president’s visit to the area.
In a statement read by the regional Secretary Daniel Tanko, on hehalf of the executives accused the Upper West Regional Minister, Dr Hafiz Bin Salih of hijacking all activities concerning the President’s visit.
Meanwhile, the Regional Minister has rejected the claims by the Upper West Regional Executive Committee insisting he’s not running a one-man’s show in respect of the president’s visit to the enclave.
The president is expected to pay a working visit to the region on Sunday, 21 August 2022.
