The one-week observation of Comfort Owusu-Agyemang, wife of the Chairman of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) Council of Elders; Hackman Owusu-Agyemang, has been held at his residence in Accra.
The solemn event which came off on Thursday, September 8, 2022, was attended by members of the party led by National Chairman, Stephen Ayensu Ntim and General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua who commiserated with the bereaved founding member of the party on his loss.
Other dignitaries who were present at the event were Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, ex-President John Dramani Mahama, former Speaker, Aaron Mike Oquaye, First Lady of the Republic, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare; Trade and Industry Minister, Alan Kyerematen; and other leading members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mrs. Comfort Owusu-Agyemang died on August 25, 2022, in the United Kingdom after battling a short illness.
Her funeral has been scheduled for November 12, 2022, at Ridge Church in Accra.
