A young man known as Kobbie, suspected to have a hand in the murder of a prospective student nurse at Mankessim has been arrested at Akwakrom, a community in the Ekumfi District of the Central Region.

The suspect is said to be the husband of one Akyere who’s the niece of the Chief, Nana Clarke – the key suspect in the murder case.

Information gathered by Kasapa News, Yaw Boagyan indicates that Kobbie was allegedly hired to dig the hole in which Georgina Asor Botchwey, an aspiring nurse trainee was buried at Nana Clarke’s house at Mankessim.

He was picked up following intelligence gathered by the Police.

The Police together with the other suspects visited the scene of the murder where some items believed to be human bones were retrieved from the pit.

The suspects have allegedly confessed to the police that three persons have been killed aside from the aspiring nursing student.

Meanwhile, the accused persons, Michael Ekow Clarke Quansah (Nana Clarke) and Pastor Michael Darko Amponsah (Sofo Kofi) who carried out the murder and burial of Georgina Botchway were put before the Cape Coast District Court 2 presided over by Her Lordship Bernice Mensima Ackon September 22, 2022.

The two were charged with conspiracy to commit crime to wit murder and murder, contrary to section 46 of the Criminal and Other Offences Act 1980, Act 29.

The case has been adjournment to October 4, 2022.
