The National Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party, (NPP) Stephen Ntim on Saturday joined President Akufo-Addo, Ministers of State, MPs, government officials as well as members and sympathizers of the party at Senya Beraku in the Central Region to pay our last respect to the late Mr. Harona Esseku.

Mr. Esseku, a distinguished statesman was a former National Chairman of the NPP who served between 2001 to 2005.

Mr Ntim, in eulogizing the late party chairman said “I served under him as the First National Vice Chairman during that same period, and we had a very good working relationship.

Even in his old age, he continued to offer pieces of advice to make the NPP stronger. May his soul rest in perfect peace.”

In a glowing yet emotional tribute, the party described the late Esseku as, “a pre-eminent leader and a man of unquestionable integrity whose selflessness and commitment to the founding principles of the Danquah-Busia-Dombo Tradition cemented his name in the annals of the party.”

The Party also described Mr. Esseku as a consummate statesman, recounting the several instances when he served his country in various capacities.
