A painstaking exercise by the state in collaboration with Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) that was billed to secure a street addressing system in the country has been criticised by Vice President Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur as one that didn’t see the best, citing some challenges with the national exercise.

He observed that some popular streets are being changed, because there were some challenges of mechanical errors.

The 18-month project which expired over a year ago was directed by President Mahama to be part of the assessment of MMDAs.

The Vice President made the observation while addressing participants at the 3rd Local Government Services Coordinating Directors’ Conference in Cape Coast.

The conference is themed: “Effective Leadership for Sustainable Local Level Service Delivery – the Role of the Coordinating Director”.

The three-day conference is scheduled to end on Friday, November 13.
