A two-week old baby boy has escaped death by a whisker after his mother dumped him into a public toilet at Gomoa Potsin in the Central Region.
According to a resident, Joseph Mensah who saw the baby, he was easing himself when he heard a baby crying, so he stopped to find out where the crying was coming from.
Mensah told Kasapa News, Yaw Boagyan that after carefully observing, he saw the baby inside the toilet so he went back home to inform the authorities.
The baby was subsequently rescued and sent to Gomoa Potsin Polyclinic where he’s receiving treatment.
Meanwhile, some residents who bathed the baby expressed shock over the incident, adding that they’re not aware anyone in the community has given birth in the last two week.
Hence they suspect the baby was dumped by a nursing mother from another Community and they have served notice of Fishing out the heartless mother.
The case has been reported to the Gomoa Potsin Police station for investigation.
