Some National Democratic Congress(NDC) Members of Parliament from the Central Regional have described the Speaker of Parliament’s eight-member Committee to probe the allegations for the motion of censure raised by the Minority Caucus against the embattled Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta as needless.

According to the MPs, Ken Ofori will not resign hence the Speaker setting up the committee to investigate the Minister before his fate would be decided is a waste of time and resources.

The MPs are Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West, Gezella Tetteh Agbotui, MP for Upper Denkyira West, Daniel Ohene Darko, MP for Komenda Edina Eguafo Abirem, Samual Atta Mills, MP for Agona East, Queenster Pokua Sawyerr, and MP for Twifu Attimokwa Constituency Eric Vondee.

Speaking in an interview with EIB Network Central Regional Correspondent Yaw Boagyan at the University of Education, Winneba during the NDC’s 2022 delegates Conference, they slammed President Akuffo Addo, Vice president, Mahamadu Bawumia, and the Finance Minister for mismanaging the country.

According to them, the country is in a deep mess and until Ghanaians vote out the Akufo-Addo-led government, the citizens will not stop experiencing economic hardship.
