National Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party(NPP) Stephen Ntim on Friday, December 2, joined the people of the Bono Region to celebrate the 38th edition of the National Farmers Day event.

The event was held at Dumasua under the theme: “Accelerating Agricultural Development through value addition.”

Chairman Ntim commended farmers and fishermen across the country for their selfless and tireless efforts in farming sometimes under difficult circumstances to feed the nation.

He urged them to continue working hard to ensure Ghana’s food security situation remains strong.

Chairman Ntim stated that the Akufo-Addo government remains committed to boosting agriculture growth in the country and will continue to invest in the agric sector.

Dignitaries present at the ceremony included: Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Awo Banahene, Regional Director of Agric, Mr. Dennis Amenga, UNER Vice Chancellor, Prof. Elvis Asare Bediako, NPP Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe Abronye and members of the REGSEC-Regional Security Council.
