Day two of EIB’s Save a Soul Foundation’s Santa Cheri Tour has touched Down at Otoase in the Eastern Region and Madina in the Greater Accra Region.

The team visited the Precious Stone Foundation, founded in the year 2000 by Madam Louisa Enyonam Ansah which is currently nurturing about 16 disabled children.

Born with a disability (without two hands), Madam Louisa shared her experience with Kasapa News and explained how she faced rejection and how her dream to become a lawyer eventually ended after she was involved in a lorry accident.

Sharing her achievement, she said she has been a trained teacher for 59 years.

However, she currently holds the rank “Assistant Director 2” Education, and also doubles as the Headmistress at an Othorpedic Training Center.

Some items worth thousands of cedis donated to the foundation includes, bag of rice, water, biscuits, tissues, clothes, and shoes together with an undisclosed amount of money to celebrate this year’s Christmas festivity with them.

She thanked the team for its generosity and called on the government and other stakeholders to help with the building of an ultra-modern ICT lab for the foundation.

Aishatu Suleman, 13 years disabled girl at the foundation who wants to become a fashion designer also spoke to Kasapa News describing her stay as a comforting one, and called on NGOs, stakeholders, agencies, and institutions for help.

Upon arrival in the capital city of Accra, Madina Estate, Madam Comfort Abedi together with her family and the entire community welcomed the team with joy and pleaded for more to come when the team surprised her with items like Rice, biscuits, tissues, water and an undisclosed amount of money.
