The 37 Military Hospital has so far recorded a total of 66 deaths from Wednesday’s floods that hit most parts of the Capital, Accra.
The number also includes mutated bodies of persons from the inferno at the Nkrumah Circle branch of the GOIL Filling Station, Major Evelyn Asamoah, Deputy, Public Relations in Charge of Protocol at the Ghana Armed Forces has told kasapafmonline.com.
Some 28 more are currently being treated at the facility, kasapafmonline.com has learnt.
Wednesday’s inferno and floods has resulted in over 200 deaths. Officials say they are still counting losses in a salvage operation expected to end Sunday.
Bodies retrieved from the wreckage have been deposited at various hospitals in the Capital, Accra.
