Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has urged Ghanaians to take the necessary precautionary measures when travelling to China.

This follows the rise in Covid-19 cases in China.

“As much as possible, only essential travel should be undertaken, until further notice,” said the Foreign Affairs Ministry in a statement dated 3rd January 2023.

The statement further said the government has decided that effective Friday 6th January, 2023, all persons traveling from China to Ghana will now have to produce a 48-hour negative PCR test and undergo mandatory antigen testing at the point of entry free of charge until further notice.
