Two persons have been burnt to death while two other passengers have been severely injured in an accident at Gomoa Potsin Junction in the Central Region.
The accident occurred on Saturday January 7, 2023 around 9pm after a saloon car made a wrong overtaking and collided with two articulated trucks at Tonisco Quarry near Potsin Junction on the Kasoa to Cape Coast Highway in the Central Region.
An eyewitness, Kwame Tawiah in an interview with Kasapa News, Yaw Boagyan said two people in the first articulated truck were burnt alive after the vehicle caught fire following the crash, while two others in the Saloon car who sustained injuries were rushed to Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital for treatment.
Bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Winneba Specialist and Truama Hospital Mortuary.
Meanwhile, Police have appealed to the general public to go for identification of the bodies.
The Gomoa Potsin Police have commenced investigation into the crash.
