Ace investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has cleared that if indeed he’s taken his lenses on Ghana’s legislature the public will be fed on every information to it when he completes such task.
“I cannot deny neither can i confirm it. The mark of every investigator is to keep his cards close to his chest. It will be very unprofessional on my part to do that,” he told Nii Arday Clegg on Morning Starr on Starr 103.5 FM Tuesday.
He says already there is public perception of where investigations has to go, but stated that his piece “is not for public consumption unless it is ready”
Anas said he won’t break away from the norm by ensuring that the public get to know the bits and pieces of his work, which he argued is all in the national interest.
Former Attorney-General Martin Amidu has been contending in very long write ups that Anas has conducted investigations into Ghana’s legislature and that his exposé in that arm of government was secretly shown to the leadership of parliament.
However, Deputy Minority Leader has disputed such claims by the anti-corruption campaigner Martin Amidu that some section of the MPs watched the alleged video detailing parliamentary corruption.
“I don’t know who may have told Martin Amidu that Parliamentary leadership or any MP watched any video of Members of Parliament caught on tape allegedly being corrupt. It is not true”, Dominic Nitiwul was emphatic in an interview recently.
