Minister of Transport Kwaku Ofori Asiamah has disclosed the total cost of Christmas decorations for the Kotoka International Airport in 2021 was 128,366 Ghana Cedis.

The Ministry says out of the figure, the DDP Outdoor Services Limited paid 50,000 Ghana Cedis in terms of sponsorship.

This is contrary to what Board Chairman of the Airport Company, Paul Adom Otchere disclosed.

According to the board chairman, the Christmas trees altogether cost 34,000 Ghana Cedis which was graciously provided by Jandel Limited at a heavy discount.

According to him other inspirations were provided by Favors and Arts at a total cost of 84,000 Ghana Cedis out of which 50,000 Ghana Cedis was obtained through sponsorship.

Answering questions from Ashaiman MP Ernest Norgbe the minister disclosed the right procurement processes were followed.
