Dr. Frederick Mac-Palm, the Chief Executive Officer of the Citadel Hospital and the first of the 10 persons standing trial for allegedly plotting to overthrow the government is reported to have passed on Saturday, March 25.
Starrfm.com.gh understands that he collapsed in his house and was rushed to the Dodoma hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Dr. Mac-Palm was expected in court on Monday, March 27, to face what would be his last cross-examination from the third accused person, Allan Debrah Ofosu, who was only assign a state assisted lawyer at the last sitting after his previous lawyer withdrew his services.
He has opened his defence to the charges to conspiracy of high treason and high treason after pleading not guilty.
He was facing trial at the High Court before a three member panel of Court of Appeal judges presided over by Justice Afia Serwah Asare-Botwe.
