One female passenger has died on the spot, while 14 others systained injuries in an accident that occurred on the Winneba–Apam highway in the Central Region on Thursday.

Narrating how the accident occurred to Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan, the Central Region Fire Service Commander, ACFOI John Amalie said the driver of an overspeeding Toyota mini bus with registration number CR 1502-22 burst his front tyre causing the vehicle to veer off the road into a bush.

Due to the huge impact of the crash, one female passenger died instantly while 14 others sustained severe injuries.

Officers from the Apam division fire station went to the scene to rescue the injured and retrieve the body of the deceased.

They were rushed to the winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital for treatment, while the body is kept in the morgue of same facility.
