Three persons are battling for their lives while several Senior High School Students returning to school on board an STC coach have sustained various of degrees of injuries after the bus collided with a tipper truck at Budu Atta Junction at Gomoa East District on Winneba–Cape Cost Highway in the Central Region
The bus transporting mainly students started is reported to have started skidding when it was approaching Buduatta Junction due to rains in the early hours of Monday, 17th April 2023.
Eyewitnesses told Kasapa News, Yaw Boagyan that they saw the STC bus with registration number GB-1079-20 coming directly towards the tipper truck after the driver lost control and eventually crushed into the truck.
The bus somersaulted several times before landing on its side.
Staff from the Ambulance Service, the Police and Winneba Fire Service rushed to the scene to rescue the victims.
The injured have been rushed to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital for attention.
