The Ministry of Education has categorically denied claim to terminate the Teachers and Nurses Training allowance.
There have been reports attributed to the Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum that the government is unable to afford allowances for Teachers and Nurses Trainees.
According to the news article, the government is considering cancelling the allowances all together.
But the Ministry in a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, Kwasi Kwarteng said the statement attributed to the Minister is “categorically false and unfounded.”
“We understand the importance of supporting and prioritizing the training of teachers, and the government remains committed to providing necessary financial assistance in these areas.” the statement said.
The statement urged the public to rely on accurate and verified information from official sources such as the Ministry of Education, government press releases, and trusted news outlets for updates on matters concerning education and healthcare.
