The receptionist and personal aide to former NPP Northern Regional Chairman, Daniel Bugri Naabu has allegedly been arrested the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) over a leaked audio plotting to oust the IGP.

According to Bugri Naabu, his two employees, personal assistant S.K and Receptionist called Akua on Thursday morning took the lead to the office but when he arrived at the office, he realized they were all absent.

In an interview with Kumasi based Oyerepa FM, he disclosed that his checks have established that the two workers have been detained at the Accra Regional Branch of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) at Kawukudi Junction.

The NPP founding member said he plans to go with his lawyers to the NIB office to enquire why his staff have been detained.

There have been allegations and speculations linking Mr Bugri Naabu to the leaked tape in which there was an alleged plot to have the IGP removed.

But the NPP stalwart has vehemently denied being responsible for the leaked tape and not taking part in the plot.

“I don’t know who did the recording, but they cannot do that. We don’t have any recordings here. My phone can record, why should I get a tape before I can record? All these are iPhones. Even though I don’t know how to hold it, I believe they can do recording work,” he said.
