The High Court in Accra has slapped former National Service Person, Deborah Sayram Adablah with a cost of GHc6,000 after striking out the name of First Atlantic Bank from the case.

Adablah, dragged Ernest Kwasi Nimako, a former Chief Finance Officer and the bank to court and alleged among other things sexual harassment.

Official of the bank filed a counter-motion to have the name of the bank strike out of the case.

Ruling on the motion on Friday, July 21, the Court Presided over by Justice Olivia Obeng Owusu struck out the name of First Atlantic Bank from the case.

Lawyers of the Bank (2nd Defendant) after the ruling requested for a cost of GHc50, 000 but lawyers of the Plaintiff (Deborah Adablah) offered GHc5,000.

Justice Olivia Obeng Owusu consequently awarded a cost of GHc6,000 against the plaintiff in favour of the bank.

EIB Network’s Legal Affairs Correspondent, Murtala Inusah, who is in court is reporting that, lawyers of Kwasi Nimako have also filed a contempt case against Adablah for certain publications when the parties have been barred from doing so by the court.
