A five member-panel of the Supreme Court chaired by the Chief Justice Gertrude Araba Esaaba Sackey Torkornoo has dismissed the motion for Certiorari and prohibition filed by James Gyakye against the High Court judge.

James Quayson and his lawyers were asking for further disclosure documents which the Attorney General says it does not have.

Following that ruling, they filed a motion at the Supreme Court to have that ruling on June 16 quashed.

But the Apex Court panel of five after listening to the arguments ruled that there is no merit in that motion.

“We have examined the proceedings and find no merit in the application.

“We find that the applicant was heard by the High Court and the court had jurisdiction to rule on the matter,” the panel concluded.
