The 37 Military Hospital has announced an impending mass burial exercise for identified but unclaimed as well as unidentified bodies at the hospital’s morgue.

According to the Hospital, the continued storage of these unclaimed bodies causes congestion in the mantuary and affects efficiency in its day-to-day operation.

It must be noted that the last time the hospital conducted mass burial was on 2nd March 2017.

A statement signed by the Lt. Col. A Marteye for the Director-General, Public Affairs of the Ghana Armed Forces said “Pending the mass burial exercise on Friday I September 2023, the general public is being urged to assist in identifying the bodies.”

“The relatives of the unclaimed bodies are requested to visit the Deparunent of Anatomical Pathology of the 37 Military Hospital from Thursday 3 August to Thursday 31 August 2023 to claim the bodies,” it added.

The statement urged the public to take note and cooperate with the hospital for a successful exercise.
