The 2016 Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has called on politicians not resort to violence in solving political disputes.

“I make a heartfelt appeal to all of us to recognize and accept that violence cannot and should not be the manner of resolving political disputes in our country,” he told a gathering in Bolgatanga on Sunday.

Nana Akufo-Addo made the appeal when he paid tribute to the late NPP Chairman of the region, Adams Mahama at an Adua held at Jubilee Park in his honour.

“What is more, my friends, the concept of an eye for an eye in dealing with wrongs, will leave all of us blind.”
