Actor cum politician, John Dumelo has lost his mother.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency in the 2020 election in announcing the demise of his mother, known as Mrs. Antoinette Ama Ampomah Dumelo in a Facebook post, said the incident occurred on Tuesday, August 15.
She was 71.
“My heart is broken. My dear mother passed away yesterday…my number one supporter. Heaven has gained an angel.”
John Dumelo was recently endorsed by the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to contest the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency in the 2024 general elections.
The party in a statement signed by the constituency chairman, Bismark Aborbi-Ayitey said the other two aspirants in the contest resolved to bow out and allow Mr. Dumelo to represent the NDC in the upcoming elections.
One of the hopefuls, Fred Nuamah withdrew from the race on August 8 and pledged his unflinching support for Mr. Dumelo.
