Chiefs and elders of Gomoa Oguan in the Central Region are demanding the return of their stool lands and other properties from the five Paramountcies in the Gomoa land in five days or incur their wrath.
According to them, the community has been rejected for over 53 years because they were not having a Chief.
They said the Gomoa Oguan Community is supposed to have paramount chief who will rule over the Gomoa but because they have not had a chief, other chiefs have unlawfully established their own Paramouncies which is against the Chieftaincy law.
Due to this, the Community has now enstooled a new Chief who is a retired Military Officer and has called for all five Paramount Chiefs of Gomoa to immediately return all the stool lands and other properties belonging to Gomoa Oguan community.
The Chief, Nana Okofo Kusae Edu Ohene Ampofo XIV addressing a Press Conference said, the community is now free from intimidations and being dictated to from all the five Paramountcies in the Gomoa land.
He expressed his commitment to supervise all Gomoa lands and will make sure that Gomoa will have a Kingdom which he will rule over.
Speaking in an interview with GhOne News Yaw Boagyan, some of the community members attributed the lack of development to the fact that they don’t have a Chief.
They were confident that once they have a Chief it will help the community to get, he needed development.
