Residents of Enyan Abaasa in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of the Central Region are in the state of happiness following the construction and commissioning of a modern 39-seater public toilet for the community.

According to the residents, they had been easing themselves in the bush due to lack of a public place of convenience for over 60 years, which left some part of the community with a foul smell.

Speaking after the commissioning of the toilet facility, the Ankobeahen of Enyan Abaasa, Otuakudom Nyamful Kofi V, advised the residents to adapt a good culture of maintenance to ensure that the facility lasts long as it serves its intended purpose.

He warned that anyone who will not put the toilet facility to good use will be sanctioned.

The project was commissioned by the Paramount Chief of Enyan Abaasa who doubles as the Central Regional House of Chiefs Vice President Osagyefo Kwamena Akonu X.

He urged natives of Enyan Abaasa who have traveled to the cities and abroad to come back home and support the town in terms of development.

Osagyefo Kwamena Akonu X who was marking 30 years as a Chief, applauded Robert Kweku Appiah Esq and his wife Akosua Ebbah for the show of love to the community by initiating and fully funding the project.

He urged others who are well to do to emulate the good works of Kweku Appiah Esq and his wife Akosua Ebbah who are a shining example.
