Four Ghanaians and one Chinese are confirmed dead following an explosion at Omni Quarry site at Kobina Ano krom in the Shama district on Saturday, September 9, 2023.
Several dismembered body parts have so far been identified.
Eight were sent to Effia Nkwanta regional hospital, 6 have since been discharged and two remain in critical condition after suffering some injuries on their faces.
The explosion had rippling effect on adjoining communities resulting in damages to buildings and properties in the catchment area.
