New Patriotic Party (NPP) Polling Station Organizer at Saltpond in the Mfantseman Municipality, named Buckman has received slaps and punches after busing student to register in the ongoing voters’ registration in the Country.
Information gathered by Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan revealed, a bus fully loaded with students from Biriwa Technical and Vocational Institute came to the Center led by the NPP Organizer to register the students.
But it was later found out that many of the students were less than 18 years, hence were ineligible to register.
This resulted in a fight between the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Branch Organizer and Polling Station Organizer of the NPP who both hail from Saltpond.
In the ensuing brawl, the NDC Branch Secretary, Gideon Ahiado punched and slapped the NPP polling Station Organizer.
The Electoral Commission officer and police officers deployed at the registration centre denied the students the opportunity to register and turned away back to their campus.
The case was reported to the police for investigation.
