Chief of Cape Coast Abura in the Cape Coast Metropolis escaped gunshots during a party with Children and aged person in the Abura Community of the Cape Coast Metropolis of the Central Region.

Armed thugs invaded the event venue when the Chief, Nana Kwamena Egyir IV was addressing the gathering trying to attack him amidst firing of gun.

But the suspects believed to be land guards who were hired by someone to attack the chief were prevented by police personnel who were providing security at the event.

Speaking in an interview with GHOne News, Yaw Boagyan, the Chief expressed gratitude to the security men for saving his life.

Nana Kwamena Egyir IV disclosed that the thugs tried to attack him because he prevented them from selling lands that belongs to Senior High Schools and other institutions in Cape Coast Abura.

He said, he has dragged many of these armed thugs who have tried several times to kill him to Court for selling Schools land without permit.

The case has been reported to the Police for investigation, but no arrest has been made as at the time of filing this report.

The Chief is urging the police to conduct thorough investigation into the matter.
