A 17-year old okada rider is seriously injured and receiving treatment at Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital after a weed seller inflicted cutlass wounds on him at Kasoa Ofaakor in the Central Region on Thursday.
Information gathered indicates that,the suspect called Cobra who is an ex convict has had issues with the victim’s boss for some time now.
In an interview with Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan, the victim Abraham Ahiadu said, when the suspect saw him at his base he thought that, the victim was coming to gather information to be leaked to police, which was not the case.
Abraham Ahiadu added that after some minutes, Cobra came out with a sharpened cutlass and started inflicting wounds on him.
According to him, the suspect always threatens to kill him for being an informat to the police.
The suspect was once arrested and jailed after the victim’s Boss reported him to the police for selling weed, hence he thought the boy was sent by his Boss to spy on him.
The case has been reported to the Kasoa Ofaakor police for investigation.
The Police have mounted a search for the suspect who is on the run.
