A 27- year-old Electrician, named James, has been killed and his eyes removed by unknown assailants at Kasoa New Market in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region.
Information gathered by Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan indicates that the assailants killed the deceased hundred meters away from where the body was deposited in a wheelbarrow at Wednesday dawn.
Residents suspect the eyes of the deceased have been removed for money rituals, a development that has left them in fear and panic.
The Police were notified of the incident and attended to the crime scene to convey the body to the Police Mortuary.
Meanwhile, Chief of Awutu Oshimpo, Nai Okogyeaman Oshimpo, called on the Central East Regional Police Command and the IGP to come to the aid of Kasoa New Market as criminals have taken over the place.
The case has been reported to the Kasoa Police for investigation, but no arrest had been made as of the time of filing this report Wednesday evening.
