A 25-year-old ‘Sakawa’ man (money ritualist) has been arrested for attempting to buy used sanitary pads from some female Students of Awutu Obrachire Secondary Technical School in the Central Region.
The suspect [name withheld] from Agona Swedru is said to have paid one of the female students GH¢100 to package all their used sanitary pads for him to be used for money rituals, and promised to give the student her share of money after the rituals are done.
But the student who feigned interest in the deal, reported the intention of the suspect to her colleagues and teachers.
A teacher who spoke to Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan on condition of anonymity revealed that after some days, they bought new sanitary pads and painted it with red liquid substance as though they were used pads.
They then informed the suspect to come for the items.
He arrived on the school campus with excitement to collect the items, oblivious that he had been set up.
In the process of the suspect transacting business with the student, some teachers pounced on him and arrested him.
He was then handed over to the Awutu Bawjiase District Police Command.
The suspect confessed that he was assigned by his Boss who lives at Agona Swedru, and that they use used sanitary pads for money rituals.
He is currently in Police custody assisting investigation.
