Flagbearer hopeful of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ken Agyapong has rendered an apology to ex-President John Mahama over his attacks on his person.
Ken Agyapong who’s also Member of Parliament for Assin Central has over the years been known to be one of the fiercest critics of the ex-President and is usually very hard on the former first gentleman of the land.
But speaking on Starr Chat with Bola Ray on Starr FM Thursday, October 5, 2023, Ken Agyapong admitted that he has been over harsh to ex-President Mahama even though the former leader has been nice to him.
“The way he has handled me and I have spoken harsh words on him, I think I have not been fair to Mahama. He’s such a wonderful person to the extent that ex-President Mahama’s wife loves me to death. One day we were in Parliament and President Mahama came and he said my brother come, the way my wife likes you…he said if I am not alive the only man in this country she will love to marry in Ken Agyapong. Oh yes, that is how nice this man was to me.”
The firebrand politician added: “One day we were on British Airways, I did not know the wife. The woman kept staring at me from Heathrow and when we got to VIP, the woman approached me and gave me a phone to talk, then at the time, President Mahama was vice, and he started laughing and said you don’t even know your wife, that’s your wife. If I recount my relationship with him, I want to apologize to him.”
