A 15-year-old boy, named Clifford has been arrested by the Police for killing his grandmother at Agonasua near Drobo, in the Jaman South in the Bono Region.
The boy is said to be a known criminal who attacks people at gun and knife point at Kumasi Suaman where he used to live. For causing so many problems for his father, the latter decided to send the boy very far away to his grandma for a change of environment and hopefully help him to stop his criminal acts.
However, that was not to be as the boy is said to have accosted his grandmother and demanded money that had been sent her by her children abroad to buy a tricycle for commercial use to generate some income for her upkeep.
But the old lady named Auntie Abena declined his request.
This got the boy angry and threatened his grandmother that he will deal with her ruthlessly.
On Saturday when his grandmother was cooking, the boy tiptoed behind his grandmother and on her blind sight he hit the back of her head with a pestle killing her instantly and stole the undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect boy, then dragged his grandmother’s body to the back of their house and cut off her tongue, cut open her stomach and took off her intestines and also cut off her vagina and buried the body in the bush.
But moments after murdering the old woman, the little brother of the suspect chanced upon him with blood on his hands and queried why he had blood on his hand, but the suspect declined to answer and went to wash off the blood.
Two days after the old woman went missing, residents began a search for her. Fortunately, the body began to go bad and emitted a foul stench in the area leading the residents to suspect that she had been killed.
The residents then threatened the two boys and the young one disclosed that he saw blood on the suspect’s hand following which he confessed killing her.
The police were invited, and the boy was arrested and is assisting investigation while the body has been deposited at the morgue.
