The National Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party(NPP), Stephen Nti says the party following a successful presidential primary has been well positioned to retain power come 2024 general election.
According to him, the just ended peaceful, free and fair election which has been touted as one of the best held in recent memory, brought the party together and provided a means of winning the nation’s general elections.
Chairman Ntim in an interview with Kumasi-based Otec FM therefore urged the followers of the various presidential contenders to be committed and banded together in order to ensure that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the newly elected flagbearer, steers the party toward maintaining political power in 2024.
“The party’s ability to remain united increases the likelihood of retaining political power in the 2024 elections when free and fair elections are held. Following the election of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as our 2024 presidential election, what is left is for us to ensure that there is a strong bond of unity in the party among our supporters and constitute our campaign teams from polling stations level up to the national level.”
