Ghana has finally gotten to the election season, a period that Ghanaians are yet to determine and analyze the campaign promises by various political parties and measure them with their track records to decide who is well to lead the country in the next four years as the constitution demands.

While many Ghanaians have become much concerned about the lies and fake promises, so as politicians are ready to find many ways to channel their message to these vulnerable voters who believe their destinies have been planted in the hands of politicians.

Indeed, some of these politicians will receive a rousing welcome in various constituencies while others will also be hooted by their constituents depending on the kind of message they explore out and after successfully scrutinizing various political parties, the ruling New Patriotic Party is likely to receive more ‘AWAY’ a sound of displeasure by audience during a speech of a speaker.

The New Patriotic Party as it stands now does not look remarkable to the Ghanaian because many feel the promises they were giving in the wake of 2016 elections have all turned to a series of disappointment. In 2016 election, the New Patriotic Party won over one million votes due to the trust Ghanaians had in the party and the track records of Former President Kufuor who was the first Person to become president on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party.

His administration was very much of social Policies, Economic Stability, financial sector was strong enough for Banking institutions to reach out to Ghanaians for Loans which was first in the 4th republic of Ghana.

With these track record churned, the NPP was highly rated while the National Democratic Congress, the ruling party then was voted out.

Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo the current president with a strong campaign team managed to bring out many slogans that were well accepted by Ghanaians; The One District One Factory, The Free Shs, The One Constituency One Million Dollars, The Village One Dam, The Dumsor Dumsor, Corruption Allegatio , The Rising Dolar To Cedi among many others facilitated NPP to win the election outright.

More AWAY Awaits; after almost eight years in government, Ghanaians feel regretted; many voters who gave their votes to NPP have turned to believe that the NPP 1 ( Kufuor time ) was far different from the NPP 2 ( Akuffo Addo time ). The party that campaigned on corruption allegation has now become synonymous with corrupt practices, the party that promised to stabilize the cedi has now ran away from the management of the cedi which even resulted to the setting up of 20 member FX Committee to help manage the cedi while the one who touted himself as economic messiah has partially resigned from the economy to focus on digitalization, characterize as failure, the president has now turned clearing agent to clear his appointees who have been allegedly involved in corrupt practices among others, our Public Debt has Ballooned.

More AWAY! Awaits; in July 2022, The Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu was booed by residents of Suame over poor road network in the area.

A vehicle of the MP for Suame, a constituency in the Ashanti Region, was said to have been pelted with sachet water and other items such as coconut husk while the Member of Parliament, Mr. Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu appreciated the concerns of the agitated residents, he admonished that they were not happy with the state of the road network in the constituency.

More AWAY! Awaits; The Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya South, Emmanuel Agyei Anhwere, was not left out of the hooting spree and ‘AWAY’ chants in the year by his constituents when he visited them and after that he stated that he was not chased away by angry constituents after the death of a 50-year-old resident due to a bad road network. Some members of the ruling party who have been subjected to hooting and booing include Samuel Atta Akyea, John Abu Jinapor, Hawa Koomson and many more.

As 2024 election approached, the New Patriotic Party should prepare for more AWAY!… AWAY!! …AWAY!! Because they are about to face the people that they deceived either by deliberate or external reason.

If the NPP communicators and MPs do not show off humility during campaign time and begin to attack the NDC presidential candidate, then they may face a very dire situation before the general election.

2024 election is going to be measured with track records; The Former President John Dramani Mahama seems to have gained the love of Ghanaians who see him as true visionary leader as compare to his opponent Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate of the NPP.

After John Mahama brought the Idea of 24hr economy, the members of the ruling NPP all of a sudden have turned to dumb and consciously consistently attacking Mahama that such policy is already in the existence and again not feasible whiles they have not even brought up a single policy to Ghanaians for now.

More AWAY Awaits; as many as the NPP tries to discredit Mahama 24hr economy, so as Ghanaians see the dumbness of the party. The Abetifi MP Hon Bryan Acheampong who doubles as the Minister of Agriculture at Bremen Asikuma Odwira Festival was booted out with AWAY by the constiuents after he attempted to discredit John Mahama’s 24Hr Economy.

To Bryan Acheampon, a very well accomplished character, Former President Mahama cannot manage a 24hr economy because he could not even manage 8hr economy due to dumsor. A statement that did not go well to the audience who subsequently hooted at him.

Seriously More AWAY awaits if NPP fails to tell Ghanaians what they have and continue to make attempt to discredit John Mahama, then they should rather think about closing the defeating gap because they are yet to face more serious disgrace in the history of Ghanaian Politics and will be regarded as failure.
