The wife of the late Member of Parliament for Mfantseman Constituency who is the current Member of Parliament for the area has dragged the National Democratic Congress Communication Officer for Mfantseman, John Bambir to court for defamation.

The NDC officer is aaid to have made a comment on Facebook asking the MP to inform the people of Mfantseman on how far with investigation into the killing of her late husband.

According to the MP,  Ophilia Mensah, the NDC Officer has no right to ask her questions about the death of her late Husband since the suspect has been arrested and serving a jail term.

The former Police Officer noted that the communication officer had written on his Facebook wall that, since she was voted for, she has never commented on the investigation over her husband’s death.

The MP said she finds the accusation against her very offensive and soils her reputation.

Meanwhile, the New Patriotic Party Constituency Chairman, Nathaniel Owusu has said, the NPP is in full support of the MP over the legal action as the allegation against the MP are false.

Speaking to Ghone News Yaw Boagyan, the accused NDC Communication Officer, John Bambir said he is not going to apologize and retract his words as he sees nothing wrong with his question.

According to him, he has not received any Court order but still waiting for her.
