The Minister in-charge of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Logos Congregation, Achimota College, Rev. George Ezekiel Larbi has admonished Ghanaians who are in the habit of always talking ill about the country to desist from the practice.

Preaching at the 31st December Watchnight Service, Rev. George Ezekiel Larbi who was until recently the Public Relations Officer of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, instead, encouraged the citizenry to continually pray for Ghana’s prosperity and speak good things about the country.

“When you pray, pray for Ghana. Those of us who have the penchant for speaking ill about Ghana should put a stop to that habit. Please, let’s have a change of mind. Let us say good things about Ghana. Whether we like it or not this is our country. Whether it is under NPP government, Ghana is our country. Whether it is under NDC government, Ghana is our country. You remain a Ghanaian irrespective of which party is in government.”

“God told the people of Israel to pray for the country they’ve settled in as slaves. If that country prospers, they also will prosper. Some are fond of saying Ghana is a useless nation, if Ghana becomes useless we will also suffer the consequences. A bad fetish priest who wishes ill for his town, when calamity befalls the town he as a resident will also bear the brunt. Please, let us pray for Ghana,” the Minister of God added.

Referencing Isaiah 65: 17-23, Rev. George Ezekiel Larbi expressed confidence that the economic condition of the country will be much better in 2024 than it was in 2023.

He further declared 2024 as a Year of blessing for those who will make Jesus Christ the Captain of the Ship of their lives.

“I am telling you, no matter the raging storm in this year 2024, no matter the difficulty, no matter the uncertainties the storm will calm down. Make Jesus Christ the captain of the ship of your life. Your own strength cannot take you far and will eventually fail you. You need Jesus Christ to sail you through the tempest storms that may arise in 2024. I declare 2024 as a year of blessing for this who will depend on Jesus Christ and their lives will never be the same.”
