Youth of Assin South in the Central Region have lamented the lack of developmental projects in the area, questioning their Member of Parliament if he presents their needs or the government does not just listen to him.

According to the youth who are members of the Osagyefo Youth Movement, the absence of some basic amenities in the area is making life uncomfortable.

The youth who are particularly concerned about the terrible state of cocoa roads in the area which they describe as death trap, also bemoaned the absence of a Fire Service station in the district which leads to people losing their property completely anytime there is a fire outbreak.

The absence of a proper market centre in the district is also of concern to them, hence urged for the markets at Nyankomasi Ahenkro and Assin Andoe which are in a very bad state to be re-constructed.

The youth are therefore challenging the MP who doubles as Deputy Minister of Education Hon. Rev. Ntim Fordjour to ensure Assin South District has its fair share of development before he leaves power after the election after performing abysmally.

The Organizer for the Osagyefo Youth Movement, Derrick Makai at a press conference also appealed to the government to renegotiate the 13 percent Lithium deal.

He described the 13% Lithium deal as a scam and urged Chiefs in the Central Region to fight against the deal for the betterment of the country.

Derrick Makai urged Parliamentarians to pass laws that are only in the interest of Ghana.
