Starting today, Wednesday, January 3, the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) will begin screening candidates for parliament from seats with sitting members of parliament (MPs).

The party has established various committees to supervise and facilitate the vetting processes.

Persons appointed as national representatives on these committees include NPP National Organizer Henry Nana Boakye, NPP National Women Organizer Kate Gyamfua, Prof Addai Mensah, and Gary Nimako, among others.

A statement signed by the General Secretary of the party, Justin Kodua Frimpong, directed all regional executive committees to convey this decision to their respective constituencies.
