The Coach of Ghana’s Senior Soccer team, Black Stars, Chris Hughton has been relieved of his duties.
The dismissal of the coach who was appointed in February 2023 was made in a terse statement issued by the Ghana Football Association Tuesday night.
“The Ghana Football Association wishes to announce that Chris Hughton has been relieved of his duties as head coach of the senior National team with immediate effect,” GFA added in the statement.
The Executive Council has also decided to dissolve the technical team of the Black Stars.
“The Ghana Football Association will in the coming days provide a roadmap on the future direction of the Black Stars.”
This decision comes on the back of a terrible performance of the Black Stars at the 2023 AFCON exiting at the group stage without wining a single match from the three games played.
