A man believed to be in his mid-20s has gruesomely beheaded his biological father, Kwaku Manu, at Assin Akrofuom in the Assin South District of the Central Region.
The timely intervention by the Central North Regional Police Command Patrol team saved the suspect, Richard Manu also known as Azonto from being lynched by angry Youth for his crime.
The suspect is presently receiving treatment at the St. Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu under police guard.
Information gathered by Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan indicates the suspect earlier accused his father (deceased) of exchanging his destiny for his elder brother following a visit to a spiritualist.
The situation, he said has aided his brother in becoming rich at his expense.
The accusations, however, led to a serious altercation following which the suspect attacked his father with a machete and beheaded him.
Meanwhile, the mother and niece of the suspect who attempted to separate the heated rgument also sustained cutlass wounds on their head and back.
The police patrol team which swiftly responded, visited the crime scene and transported the injured persons to the St. Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu for medical attention.
Meanwhile, the case has been reported to the Police for an investigation.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Assin Fosu Xevier Hospital Mortuary for autopsy and Preservation.
