Four persons have lost their llives on the spot while six others are in critical condition after a Tipper truck collided with Ford Transit passenger vehicle at Awutu Bereku Township on the Kasoa – Cape Coast Highway in the Central Region.

Information gathered indicates that, the overspeeding tipper truck veered off its lane and collided with the Ford vehicle Wednesday dawn.

In an interview with Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan, a passenger, Nii Armah who survived the accident but sustained cut on the forehead revealed that, fog was very tick during their journey and suspects the driver of the tipper truck was sleeping.

According to him, the injured persons including a six-month old baby have been sent to St Gregory Hospital for treatment.

The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Winneba Special and Trumar Hospital Mortuary for autopsy preservation and identification.
