The Electoral Commission is currently convening an Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting to discuss pertinent election-related issues including the impending Ejisu by elections and calls by the opposition NDC to address issues of missing biometric verification devices.

Parties represented at today’s IPAC meeting include the NPP, NDC, CPP, PNC, APC, PPP, and the GCPP.

This follows calls by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Electoral Commission (EC) to swiftly organize an emergency Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting to address concerns over the reported ‘disappearance’ of Biometric Verification Devices (BVDs) and other related issues.

The party emphasized that such a meeting is necessary for the EC to provide explanations and reassurances to political parties and their supporters.
