A 37-year-old man, Kwame Adomako a.k.a Raster, has died after throwing himself into river Pra at Twifo Praso in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District of Central Region.
Information gathered by Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan indicates that the incident comes few weeks after his girlfriend broke up with him following a serious misunderstanding between them.
According to the Assembly member for Twifo Kokoase electoral area, Hon.Daniel Afriyie, a few weeks after the separation, the deceased suddenly began to behave abnormally leaving many neighbours to believe that he suffered a broken heart.
As at the time of filing this report Wednesday afternoon, the man was yet to be found in the river.
The Adontenhene of Twifo Daaman, Nana Kwasi Baidoo in an interview disclosed that the man went to the police station without committing any crime and forced the police Officers on duty to put him in police custody.
But he was turned down and thrown out of the premises as he hadn’t committed any crime.
Immediately he was thrown out from the police station, he quickly rushed threw himself into the Pra River.
Residents say the deceased has invested heavily in his girlfriend and suspect that he took his life out of pain of losing her.
