The Majority in parliament has rubbished demands for prosecution of persons involved in the GRA-SML revenue mobilization contract.
Stakeholders in the energy sector, the Minority in parliament and the opposition NDC have demanded release of the full report with some calling for prosecutions.
This follows directives of President Akufo-Addo upon receipt of the KPMG audit report which had made some adverse findings against the deal.
However, speaking to the media in Parliament, Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin argued no criminality was uncovered in the KPMG report.
He added that even the initial PPA approval which was denied was subsequently ratified.
The Effutu MP further argued the content of the report which is meant for the President is exempted under the Right to Information Act and thus its release will be an illegality.
Afenyo-Markin cautioned the Minority against acts that will kill Ghanaian owned businesses such as SML.
