Social media activist, Elorm Ababio popularly known as Ama Governor has been finally called to the Ghana Bar after years of denial.
She was one of the 181 new lawyers called to the Bar on Friday, May 31, 2024 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
Following the filing of a complaint by a concerned citizen in November 2022, Ama has been embroiled in a year-long legal struggle with the General Legal Council (GLC).
She was accused in this complaint of acting in a way that was “unbecoming of a bar applicant.”
The GLC stopped calling Ama to the bar as a result of her allegation.
